The Plaza Ballroom was ablaze in all its glory on Saturday night as winners of the SPASA Awards of Excellence programme were announced.
With 430 industry stakeholders in attendance, the Awards Gala is the most anticipated event on the Victorian calendar - it certainly lives up to its hype.
A total of 36 award categories made up the Awards of Excellence programme, including major awards Product of the Year and Remco Pool of the Year.
Hosted by Olympian and SPASA ambassador Nicole Livingstone, guests were treated to an extravaganza of acrobatics, song and comedy by popular entertainment group Papillon, with a total of 59 Gold and Highly Commended awards presented to deserving SPASA members.The 2016 Remco Pool of the Year was awarded to Aquarius Pools (pictured above), while Product of the Year went to Spa Electrics for their Retro GK Tri-Colour LED Light (pictured below).
SPASA President John D'Arcy congratulated all winners and commented , “This year’s entrants demonstrate excellence across the board, and prove that SPASA members truly are leaders within the Australian industry. The calibre of entries just gets better year after year".
The evening, themed with the glitz and glamour of Great Gatsby, consisted of superb food and wine, wonderful ambience and kept guests enthralled right up to the announcement of the Pool Of The Year.
