In the lead-up to the warmer months, SPASA Victoria will be embarking on a comprehensive advertising & PR campaign to promote the benefits of pool & spa ownership, and the many advantages of using a SPASA member.
If there’s just one commonly-held view across our ever-diverse member sectors, it’s that SPASA should be on the front foot promoting pools and spa against the competing discretionary spend channels of caravans, home extensions, overseas travel, home theatres, etc.
The recent Spa & Pool Show, and ongoing anecdotal feedback from members, tells us that it’s a pretty tough market out there – hence the SPASA Board has voted to take decisive action.
We’re excited to announce that an additional $100,000 (on top of the existing $300,000+pa invested in media spend for consumer events) has been allocated for the creation of a new advertising push - incorporating all media platforms, in both metropolitan Melbourne & regional Victoria.
Some early suggested elements include:
> Partner with Domain.com.au and leverage off their high-profile “A Pool for the Kids – Totally Awesome” campaign (image above),
> To run high-rotation the 2015 SPASA “Lifetime of Memories” TVC,
> To create a new “Pool of the Week” social media campaign (sourced from the 2015 Awards of Excellence entry images - check out these amazing pics)
> A Social Responsibility campaign: The board has long-contemplated ways of addressing the decreasing swimming lesson participation of children, and drowning stats related to those of non-Australian birth. We’ve made preliminary enquiries around how to assist much-needed Learn to Swim campaigns – this funding announcement provides an opportunity to fully realise these goals.
This is a great initiative by your SPASA board - to promote the many life-enhancing benefits of pool and spa ownership, right across the State.
